Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a National Cadet Corps (NCC) rally, discussing the important idea of “One Nation, One Election.” He believes that holding elections for the central and state governments at the same time can help improve India’s governance and development. Modi pointed out that having too many elections can disrupt how the country is run, making it hard for the government to focus on its work.

He asked young people, especially NCC cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, to join the conversation about this topic as it affects their future. Modi explained that other countries, like the United States, have set times for elections which helps keep things organized.

He encouraged young people to get involved in politics and share their innovative ideas. Since 2014, the number of NCC cadets has grown from 14 lakh to 20 lakh, with more than 8 lakh being girls. Modi believes that the world’s future is closely linked to the energy and creativity of Indian youth.
