A video has come out showing federal agents catching many members of Tren de Aragua, a dangerous Venezuelan gang, during a surprise raid at a makeshift nightclub in Denver. This raid happened late at night as the gang was causing problems in Denver and the nearby suburb of Aurora.
The party, which was invite-only, was interrupted by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) while members of the gang were having fun in Adams County. The authorities found cash, weapons, and drugs, including a dangerous drug known as Tusi, or pink cocaine. The Tren de Aragua gang is believed to be a big player in spreading pink cocaine across the United States.
The DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division released a video showing the gang members being arrested. It stated, “#DEA agents, @HSIDenver @ERODenver @ATF_Denver & local partners conduct an early AM operation targeting drug trafficking & members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA). Drugs, weapons, and cash were seized in Adams County. Nearly 50 illegal aliens were taken into custody.”
During this operation, around 50 members of Tren de Aragua were arrested. This is part of the ongoing effort by President Donald Trump’s administration to deal with illegal immigrants who might be dangerous.
DEA acting administrator Derek Maltz emphasized, “We want the country to know that we will support the president’s priority to catch the most dangerous illegal criminals.” Trump and his border leader, Tom Homan, have promised to find, arrest, and deport millions of people who entered the country illegally. Maltz added, “The citizens of this country must feel safe every day. One of my goals is to help build a strong team to fight against evil.”
The early morning operation in Colorado on January 26 involved the DEA and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), along with teams from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) to make the arrests.
