Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for how they handle money. He accused BJP of giving public money as loans to rich friends and then writing off those loans in 2-3 years. He explained that while the BJP focuses on helping billionaires, AAP’s model aims to help ordinary people. Kejriwal highlighted AAP’s achievements: providing free electricity and water, and offering quality healthcare.

Kejriwal warned that if BJP wins, they may stop these helpful services in Delhi because they don’t believe in this kind of welfare. His remarks came after Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized him for breaking promises he made when he first entered politics. Shah claimed that Kejriwal said he wouldn’t make a political party and promised to take action against the previous chief minister, Sheila Dikshit, but didn’t follow through.

As the election date nears, the competition between BJP, AAP, and Congress is heating up. The Delhi Assembly elections will happen on February 5, with results on February 8. A total of 699 candidates are contesting for 70 assembly seats. The Congress party, which ruled for 15 years, has faced difficulties in the last two elections. Meanwhile, AAP has been very successful, winning 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020, while BJP has won only a few.
