On Saturday night, six planets—Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus—came together in the sky, creating a beautiful show that excited people around the world. This event, called the “planet parade,” was special because so many planets were visible at once!

Right after sunset, the sky turned soft colors, and about 45 minutes later, everyone could see the planets shining. People could easily spot Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn without any tools. However, to see the farther planets, Uranus and Neptune, you would need a telescope, which let viewers look closer at these distant worlds.

The excitement spread across social media, with many people sharing photos and videos of the rare event. One user on X posted a video of Mars and Jupiter, excitedly saying, “I saw Mars and Jupiter in the sky from my home!” Another shared a photo and called it a “Mobile capture of the Celestial Planet Parade.” Many others offered tips on where to look for the planets. One user recommended, “Look west about half an hour after sunset, and you’ll see bright Venus. Slightly below and to the left of it is Saturn. Jupiter is almost directly overhead, and Mars can be seen high in the east.”

Some people found the event a great way to feel closer to the universe. In Gurugram, Jyoti Raghavan Khanduja, the founder of Forest Spirit Learning, organized a sky-gazing event at Shikohpur. She said, “This is our first astronomy event, and everyone from Delhi-NCR is excited to join. We all should look at the night sky at least once; it makes us realize how small we are in the grand scheme of nature.”
