BSF (Border Security Force) officers found a large stash of 62,200 bottles of Phensedyl cough syrup worth Rs 1.4 crore hidden in underground tanks close to the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s Nadia district. This discovery happened after the BSF received a tip-off and conducted a raid in Majdia town on Friday.
In this operation, they discovered the cough syrup in three underground tanks. Two of these tanks were located under thick plants, while the third was hidden under a small hut built with CGI sheets. The BSF sees this as a significant setback to smuggling activities in the region. They are currently gathering more information about the smuggling network connected to this case.
