On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that Uttar Pradesh is set to become a USD 1 trillion economy in the next four years! He shared this exciting news during the celebration of Uttar Pradesh Day at Awadh Shilpgram in Lucknow. The event was inaugurated by Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and attended by Governor Anandiben Patel.

Adityanath emphasized the rich history of Uttar Pradesh, mentioning that this area has seen many changes over the years. It was part of Bengal long ago before becoming known as the North-Western Provinces, and then finally Uttar Pradesh in 1950. Today, he believes this state has enormous potential for growth.

Since the first celebration of Uttar Pradesh Day in 2018, the state has achieved a lot. The Chief Minister talked about the rise in the economy—from Rs 12 lakh crore in 2016-17 to over Rs 27 lakh crore now! He stated, “In four years, we will reach a USD 1 trillion economy, following the vision of our Prime Minister.”

Yogi Adityanath plans to make Uttar Pradesh a state with no poverty, ensuring that every person has a house, land rights, health cards, pensions, and more by next year’s celebration. He also pointed out how Uttar Pradesh has become a popular tourist spot because of better safety, beautiful heritage sites, and new roads and airports.

As part of the celebrations, he launched an online portal for the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development (CM Yuva) scheme. This program will help 100,000 young people start their businesses with interest-free loans of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young entrepreneurs!

During the event, six people were honored with the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman award for their contributions. Adityanath invited everyone to celebrate the state’s past and look forward to a bright and successful future.

In a heartfelt message, he wished everyone a happy foundation day on X, sharing his hopes for Uttar Pradesh, which is known for its rich culture and legendary figures like Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. He urged everyone to work together to make the state self-reliant and prosperous.

Uttar Pradesh Day is celebrated every year to remember the day in 1950 when the United Provinces officially became Uttar Pradesh.
