US President Donald Trump recently had a nice talk with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. They chatted about making a trade deal that helps both countries. Trump said it was a friendly conversation.

“It went well. It was a good, friendly chat,” Trump told Fox News. He feels confident about reaching an agreement with Xi, calling him “ambitious.”

Trump also shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, that they talked about several issues, like trade, the drug Fentanyl, and TikTok. He wrote, “We discussed balancing trade, Fentanyl, TikTok, and many other subjects. President Xi and I will do everything to help make the world safer!”

This call took place last Friday, just days before Trump became the 47th President of the United States. Xi said he hopes to start the relationship with Trump on a positive note. Trump shared that he believes they can solve many problems together
