Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal replied to Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who had criticized Delhi’s law and order. Kejriwal pointed out that law and order in Delhi falls under the control of the Union Home Ministry, led by Amit Shah. He suggested Yogi should talk to Amit Shah for suggestions on how to improve the situation.

This response came after Yogi Adityanath spoke about safety issues in Delhi, especially regarding Bangladeshi immigrants, during a rally in the city for the upcoming February elections.

Kejriwal agreed with Yogi’s claim that Delhi’s safety is poor. He highlighted the presence of gangsters and issues related to women’s safety. “I agree that Delhi’s law and order is very bad. Gangsters are all over the city,” Kejriwal said. He pointed out that Yogi Adityanath claims to have dealt with gangsters in Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath accused Kejriwal’s government of causing riots in Delhi in 2020 with help from immigrants. He spoke at a rally in Janakpuri, saying that if people vote for a “double-engine government” like the one in Uttar Pradesh, they would see improvements in services and a better environment.

The elections for the Delhi assembly will take place on February 5, with the results being counted on February 8.
