Smriti Mandhana Climbs to Second in ICC ODI Rankings After Stunning Series!

Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana is making waves in the world of women’s cricket! After an amazing series against Ireland, she has climbed to second place in the latest ICC women’s ODI batting rankings. Mandhana is now the only Indian player in the top 10. During the series, she scored an incredible 135 runs in the third ODI, helping her team shine! She also scored 41 and 73 in the first two games.

Right now, Mandhana has 738 points, just behind South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, who leads with 773 points. Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu is close behind in third place with 733 points.

In other news, Jemimah Rodrigues scored her first-ever century in the second ODI against Ireland, moving her up to the 17th spot in the rankings. Meanwhile, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who didn’t play in the series, is in 15th place. Deepti Sharma is doing well too; she is in sixth place among all-rounders with 344 points. Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner is at the top, having performed well in the recent Ashes series against England.

In the bowling rankings, Sophie Ecclestone is in the lead, while Deepti Sharma moved up to fourth place with 680 points. Gardner had a fantastic series, scoring her first ODI century and taking four wickets in the Ashes, helping Australia win all three ODIs against England. With these performances, Gardner has reached a career-high of 469 points as an all-rounder and 648 points as a batter, moving into the top 10 among batters!
