BJP leader Parvesh Verma responded to claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that Arvind Kejriwal’s car was attacked during a campaign event on Saturday. According to Verma, the car hit three young men who were protesting against Kejriwal, and he accused Kejriwal of telling the driver to run them over.

Verma, a candidate for the New Delhi assembly, explained that while Kejriwal was talking to people about jobs in the area, three unemployed men named Vishal, Abhishek, and Rohit tried to ask him questions. Instead of answering, cops pushed them away, and one worker’s phone was damaged.

Verma claimed, “Kejriwal signaled the driver, and the car hit the three youths. He wanted to crush them. They were hurt, and this is attempted murder. I am going to report this to the police, and the three youths will file a complaint.”

Meanwhile, AAP called Verma’s statements “baseless” and accused BJP supporters of attacking Kejriwal with bricks and stones because they are scared of losing. AAP said, “Kejriwal won’t be scared of this cowardly attack. The people of Delhi will respond to this.”

AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar criticized the event and asked the Election Commission to take action, stating that it was unacceptable behavior aiming to disrupt peaceful elections.

The Delhi election is set for February 5, with results coming out on February 8. Parvesh Verma will compete directly against Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi seat. Previously, AAP accused Verma of trying to buy votes with money, shoes, and blankets.
