India and the United States have joined forces to improve how they work together against cybercrime. This news was shared by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The agreement was signed just before new leadership takes charge in Washington, with the Trump administration coming in.

The deal, called a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed in Washington, D.C. by Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra and Acting US Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Kristie Canegallo.

This agreement will help both countries share information and learn better ways to use digital tools to fight crime. In India, the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) will lead this effort, while in the US, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other agencies will help put it into action.
