Meghan Markle’s Netflix cooking show, “With Love, Meghan,” was supposed to come out this month, but it has been moved to March because of the terrible wildfires in California. She said, “I’m grateful to Netflix for helping me delay the launch so we can support those affected by the wildfires in California.” Many people on social media praised her for being thoughtful.

A source told People Magazine that Meghan quickly decided to delay the show. “She couldn’t imagine promoting a happy cooking show when people in California have lost their homes,” the source added. However, another royal insider pointed out that Meghan didn’t seem to hesitate when she did the famous interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, which was shared while Prince Philip, Harry’s grandfather, was very sick. He sadly passed away about four weeks later.

Critics are questioning why Meghan would wait to release the cooking show but not think carefully about the timing of that interview with Oprah. Some royal sources even asked, “Would people really want to watch a glamorous cooking show when many Americans have lost everything?” They reminded everyone that there will still be many people homeless in March.

This isn’t the first time Meghan and Harry have faced criticism for their timing. Just two months after Queen Elizabeth’s death, they released their Netflix docuseries, “Harry and Meghan,” which made family relationships even more tense. Some viewers were put off when Meghan exaggerated a curtsy to the late Queen, and many thought her behavior was inappropriate.

Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” also raised eyebrows because it came out after the Queen’s health was failing and included private family conversations. Critics felt that the tone of the book looked bad for Harry, especially since it was published four months after the Queen’s death.
