PETA India, an animal rights group, has filed a complaint that led to the Tirupati police making an arrest. The case involves some fans of actor Balakrishna who shocked everyone by sacrificing a goat in a theater to celebrate the release of the movie “Daaku Maharaaj.”

After the movie premiered, a disturbing video circulated on social media. The footage showed fans beheading a live goat with a machete while they cheered and covered a movie poster with the goat’s blood. Many people who saw the video were horrified and reported it to the authorities.

The police filed charges against five people under several laws that protect animals. They face serious accusations, including animal cruelty and disturbing the peace. Saloni Sakaria, a PETA representative, expressed her outrage, saying that hurting an innocent animal doesn’t show real fandom but rather makes someone a villain and a criminal.

Balakrishna has not yet spoken about this incident. Sadly, this isn’t the first time fans of the Nandamuri family have done something like this. Last year, during the release of Jr NTR’s film “Devara: Part 1,” there was also a scary video of fans engaging in similar behavior.

Actress Vedhika reacted strongly on social media, saying, “This is horrible! Animals shouldn’t suffer for our enjoyment. We need to stop this cruelty now!”
