Billionaire Elon Musk is in the news again! He wants to create an “everything app” called X, which used to be Twitter. Musk is looking for talented software engineers to help him make this dream a reality. He posted on X that he doesn’t care where applicants went to school or which famous companies they’ve worked for. All he wants is for people to show him their best coding work by sending it to [email protected].
So, what is this “everything app”? Basically, it’s a super app that offers many services all in one place. Imagine being able to chat, pay friends, and shop online, all from the same app. It’s like WeChat in China, which has over a billion users. WeChat lets you do all sorts of things, like book a ride or send money. Another example is Grab in Southeast Asia, which helps you order food, book rides, and manage your money.
Musk’s idea came just two weeks after Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X, hinted at new money features for the app, called “X Money,” coming in 2025. She said that in 2024, X changed the world, and in 2025, it will connect people in new ways. Exciting times ahead
