Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has promised to help families affected by a tragic bus accident in Pauri. Each family who lost a loved one will receive Rs 5 lakh, and those who were seriously hurt will get Rs 1 lakh.

In a meeting with top officials, CM Dhami addressed complaints about the lack of proper medical care for the injured at the Pauri Hospital. He has ordered the District Magistrate to report on this situation and ensure the hospital is equipped with everything needed for emergency care. The Chief Minister stressed that hospitals must always have enough medicines and medical staff available.

The bus accident occurred on Sunday in Pauri Garhwal district when the bus lost control and plunged into a deep ditch, claiming five lives and injuring more than ten people. The bus was carrying 22 passengers when it fell into a 100-meter-deep ditch while traveling from Pauri to Dahalchori. The District Magistrate, Ashish Chauhan, confirmed the details of the tragic accident.

CM Dhami has also instructed an investigation into the accident’s causes and to take action against any officials from the Transport Department if they were negligent.
