A 38-year-old man from Thane, Maharashtra, has been accused of terrible crimes against a woman he met on Facebook. The man allegedly raped her, forced her to marry him, and treated her very badly.
The woman, who is 27 years old, said she became friends with him in 2021. He led her to a hotel and assaulted her. He also took videos of her and threatened to share them if she didn’t do what he wanted.
This man and his mother took her to live in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where they continued to hurt her. They cut her hair and made her feel trapped in their house. The man is accused of burning her with cigarettes and hitting her with a hot pan, causing serious injuries.
He took her important documents, like her Aadhaar and bank records, to borrow money. They even pressured her to ask her father for money, threatening her with the videos if she didn’t do it.
The police are currently investigating this case and have filed a report against the man and five of his family members. They are being charged with several serious crimes, including repeated assault and forcing her to marry. So far, no arrests have been made.
