Disney is gearing up for an exciting year in 2025 with 12 new films hitting theaters! The company is focusing more on making sequels and remakes, based on what audiences loved in the past. In fact, only two of these films are original stories.
Here’s what we can expect:
1. Captain America: Brave New World — February 14
Get ready to watch Sam Wilson as the new Captain America! He’s joined by Joaquin Torres as his sidekick and General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross, who is now the U.S. president.
2. Snow White — March 21
This live-action remake stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White. She faces challenges from the Evil Queen, with help from new songs that will be part of the film.
3. The Amateur — April 11
Rami Malek stars in this thrilling movie about a CIA decoder who takes matters into his own hands after a tragic event.
4. Thunderbolts — May 2
This Marvel movie will feature a team of heroes and anti-heroes getting together. Characters like Yelena Belova and Bucky Barnes are part of this action-packed film.
5. Lilo & Stitch — May 23
Another live-action remake! Watch Lilo, an orphaned girl, and Stitch, an alien, form an unlikely friendship.
6. Elio — June 13
This Pixar movie is about an 11-year-old boy who becomes Earth’s ambassador to aliens. It has a fantastic cast including Zoe Saldaña.
7. The Fantastic Four: First Steps — July 25
The Fantastic Four is back! They must protect Earth from a big threat in this reboot of the superhero team.
8. Freakier Friday — August 8
A funny sequel to the original Freaky Friday! This time, Jamie Lee Curtis returns to deal with family challenges.
9. Tron: Ares — October 10
A sequel to the classic Tron movies, starring Jared Leto and Jeff Bridges.
10. Predator: Badlands — November 7
A sequel to the hit film Prey, featuring the Predator as the main character.
11. Zootopia 2 — November 26
Everyone’s favorite animal duo, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, returns to solve a new mystery in Zootopia.
12. Avatar: Fire and Ash — December 19
Directed by James Cameron, this movie continues the story of Jake Sully and his family, with the original cast returning.
