The family of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the owner of Leicester City Football Club who died in a helicopter crash on October 27, 2018, honored him as a caring family man and a great inspiration. Vichai bought Leicester City in 2010 when it was struggling. He wanted to make it a top team, and with his support, the club won the Premier League in 2016. His family shared their feelings about their loss during an inquest at Leicester City Hall, saying that the pain they feel is still very strong. They remembered him as a generous and charming man who was loved by many.
The inquest is also looking into the crash that killed the pilot and three other passengers. One of the passengers, Nusara Suknamai, was a former Miss Thailand contestant, and her family called her a “pillar” of their family. The pilot, Eric Swaffer, and his partner, Izabela Lechowicz, were remembered fondly as people who loved flying and life. Each family member shared touching words that highlighted the impact of their loved ones’ lives and the sorrow of their loss.
