In Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, the police have filed a report against a private security company and its guard after two dogs belonging to a retired Navy officer went missing. Ajay Kumar Pandey, who lives in the Shalimar Paradise area, owns two dogs named Laila and Simba. These dogs were registered with the local city office.
The dogs disappeared on December 28 while Pandey was in Mumbai. When he came back, he reported that the security guards from ISS Security Company, who were supposed to protect the area, had turned off the CCTV cameras and taken his dogs away.
The police wrote down his complaint on January 7 at the Barabanki Kotwali police station. In the report, Pandey accused a guard named Chandra Kumar and the company of stealing his pets.
The police are looking into the situation, but they haven’t found any big clues yet. “We are reviewing the videos from the security cameras in the complex,” said Inspector Alok Mani Tripathi, but they haven’t located the dogs.
To widen their search, the police are now checking footages from over 50 security cameras along the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway. Unfortunately, the dogs are still missing.
