The first big event for Shankar’s new Telugu film, “Game Changer,” which stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, happened in Rajahmundry on Saturday night. Pawan Kalyan, an actor and Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, was the special guest. He gave a long speech about movies and politics.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director, praised Pawan and shared a video of his nearly one-hour speech on X (formerly Twitter). He expressed agreement with Pawan’s idea that “cinema should be separate from politics.” Sandeep wrote, “CINEMA should be treated as its own thing & NO politics should interfere. Thank you, Power Star!”
During his speech, Pawan expressed his concern for fans’ safety, saying, “A movie is for enjoying, not for causing harm. Don’t rush just to see a hero.” He also talked about ticket prices. He noted that he had to buy tickets in black markets in the past, but now if people pay more to see their favorite stars, the money goes to the government instead of others. He mentioned how he faced problems when his movie “Bheemla Nayak” was released due to former government rules on ticket prices.
Pawan made it clear that politics should not mix with cinema. He said, “Movies should stand alone; politics shouldn’t enter this world. Why should actors ask for higher ticket prices? Stars like Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, and Mahesh Babu had to do it.”
He also urged Indian films to unite instead of just copying Hollywood.
About “Game Changer”:
