Ayodhya (UP): Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will celebrate a special event at the Ram temple on January 11. He will perform a sacred ceremony, called ‘abhishek’, on the idol of Ram Lalla at 11 am. This will kick off a three-day festival called ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi’, which marks one year since the idol was consecrated.
From January 11 to 13, Ayodhya will be filled with celebrations. The Chief Minister will not only perform the ceremony but also open a cultural program near the temple and talk to the devotees. Well-known singers will share devotional songs during this time.
Champat Rai, who is in charge of the temple trust, noted that January 11 is an important day for Ayodhya because it celebrates the opening of the new temple. The city will have kirtans (devotional chanting) at many places, including Lata Chowk and Ram Ki Paidi. Young artists will entertain visitors with music performances across the city.
There will also be a special event called ‘Shri Ram Raag Seva’, organized by a local artist, Yatindra Mishra, supported by the Sangeet Natak Akademi. This program includes music, dance, and instrument performances as offerings to Lord Shri Ram.
The temple trust has invited saints and devotees from all over India. Rai encourages everyone, including local people and visitors, to join in the festivities and experience the spiritual joy of Ayodhya during these three days. Last year, on January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a historic ceremony where the idol of Ram Lalla was placed in the temple. Millions watched this special event at home or in nearby temples, cherishing this memorable moment.
