Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are working hard to be good co-parents for their kids, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, even though they have had a rocky relationship. They dated on and off from 2016 until 2021, and they broke up for good after Tristan was unfaithful.
A friend of the couple shared that they don’t mind if people think it’s strange that they are close. They believe that ex-couples can still be friends and care for their kids together. Right now, Khloé has the kids most of the time because Tristan lives in Cleveland, but he makes an effort to come back to Los Angeles whenever he can. The source mentioned that “Khloé appreciates how much Tristan is around,” as the kids really love spending time with their dad.
Tristan had previously cheated on Khloé with Maralee Nichols, resulting in the birth of a son named Theo. He later apologized to Khloé, saying he was sorry for the pain he caused her.
At the end of Season 4 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Tristan expressed the importance of showing his kids a good example. He said, “I never want my daughter to hear bad things about me and feel embarrassed. I want to be someone she can be proud of.”
When Tristan announced he was returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Khloé felt relieved. In the premiere of Season 5, she said, “The last few years have been really heavy for me. I want to focus on things that make me happy.”
