In Nashik, Maharashtra, a father and his son are accused of killing their neighbor, Gulab Waghmare, with an axe and a sickle. After the gruesome act, they took the victim’s head and the murder weapons to the police station to turn themselves in.
This shocking event happened in a village called Nanashi on Wednesday morning. The dad, Suresh Boke, had a long-standing argument with Waghmare’s family. Just a day before the murder, both families had filed complaints against each other. The suspect believed that Waghmare helped his daughter run away, which led to the violent act.
When news of the murder broke, villagers became very angry. They destroyed Boke’s house and set his car on fire. To keep the peace, police and special forces were called in to the village.
Later, police officially charged Boke and his son based on a complaint by Waghmare’s wife. They were arrested and taken to another police station for their safety. Security is tight in the village now, and everything is under control.
In another case, a man in Kolkata killed his sister-in-law after she refused his advances, and a family in Delhi killed their neighbor over a dispute about a toilet.
