There seems to be trouble in the Indian cricket team. Head coach Gautam Gambhir tried to cover it up during a press conference before the last Test match in Sydney, but his answers raised more questions instead of clearing things up.

When reporters asked about captain Rohit Sharma’s position in the team, Gambhir didn’t give a clear answer. He stated, “Rohit is fine, and the head coach is here, so that should be enough.” But when asked about the final team selection, he was vague, saying it would depend on the pitch conditions.

Rohit seems to be having a tough time lately. He skipped giving a speech at an event with the Australian Prime Minister, even though he was present. Gambhir had to step in and speak for him.

Rohit has not been performing well as a player. Last year, he averaged just 24.52 runs in 19 matches with only one century. His ranking has dropped to 40th in Test cricket. Under his captaincy, the Indian team has struggled, losing five out of six matches.

Gambhir did mention he talks to both Rohit and Virat Kohli about how to win games but didn’t want to reveal too much. He said that internal discussions should stay private and not be shared publicly.
