Sydney: India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, spoke out on Thursday about the importance of keeping team discussions private. He mentioned that healthy debates should stay in the dressing room and not be shared with the public. Despite rumors of issues among players, Gambhir assured everyone that these are just rumors and not the real story.

He emphasized that performance is the key reason players stay on the team and that honest conversations are vital. “As long as we have honest people in the dressing room, Indian cricket will be in good hands,” he stated.

Gambhir clarified that he has only talked to senior players like Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma about winning strategies, not personal issues. “Every player knows what they need to improve,” he added.

In health news, Gambhir confirmed that fast bowler Akash Deep will not play in the upcoming New Year Test due to a stiff back, but he did not name a replacement.
