In West Bengal, police have arrested two men because they are believed to have connections to a terrorist group. The arrests happened in a place called Nowda, in Murshidabad, as there are serious problems happening in neighboring Bangladesh.

The two arrested men are Sajibul Islam, who is 24 years old, and Mustakim Mondal, who is 26. They are both suspected of being involved in activities linked to a group called Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), which is connected to Al-Qaeda. Sajibul is also related to someone else who is already linked to this group.

The police have opened a case against them, and special police teams are investigating how deeply they are involved in terrorism. The police will soon take the two men to court.

Leaders in the area are worried about illegal immigrants from Bangladesh taking resources and posing security risks. Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal’s assembly, suggested that the government should introduce something called the NRC (National Register of Citizens) to get rid of these illegal immigrants. He believes that many Bangladeshi people are living in India with fake documents.

Additionally, in another incident, three people from Bangladesh and three Indians were arrested in North 24 Parganas for using fake Aadhaar cards
