17-Year-Old Kaamya Karthikeyan Completes Seven Summits Challenge!

Kaamya Karthikeyan, 17, becomes the youngest girl to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents, including Mount Everest and Antarctica’s Mt Vincent.

Kaamya Karthikeyan, a Class 12 student at Navy Children School in Mumbai, has made history! At just 17 years old, she is now the youngest girl in the world to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.

Starting her adventure, she climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, then went on to Mt Elbrus in Europe and Mt Kosciuszko in Australia. She also conquered Mt Aconcagua in South America and Mt Denali in North America. The biggest challenge? Mt Everest in Asia! She recently completed her journey by climbing Mt Vincent in Antarctica with her dad, Cdr S Karthikeyan, on December 24 at 5:20 PM Chilean time.

The Indian Navy was proud and congratulated Kaamya and her father on finishing this amazing adventure. Navy Children School also shared their excitement, saying it’s a proud moment for everyone at the school.

Kaamya’s love for trekking began when she was just 7 years old during her first trek in Uttarakhand. Now, she has achieved something truly remarkable!
