In a surprising turn of events, Taylor Swift was almost involved in a lawsuit filed by her best friend, Blake Lively, against Justin Baldoni, her co-star in the movie “It Ends With Us.” Last week, Blake accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and claimed he was trying to damage her reputation.
A big report from The New York Times revealed that Blake’s lawsuit includes claims that Baldoni and his team were spreading lies about her. In these legal documents, Taylor was mentioned in something called a “scenario planning document,” which was created by Baldoni’s PR team, led by a crisis expert named Melissa Nathan.
The document said that the PR team might consider making stories about how some celebrities, including Taylor Swift, have used their fame to get what they want. Blake’s team believes this is unfair and wrong.
Baldoni’s lawyers have strongly denied all the accusations, calling them “shameful” and “totally false.”
The PR document also shared that Baldoni didn’t like the strategies that were suggested and didn’t feel safe. He discussed his worries with other PR experts and the film’s producer.
In these texts, there were mentions of Blake’s connection to Taylor Swift, highlighting that Blake has some of Taylor’s fans who really care about her. The PR team said they would be very careful about how they handled the situation because of Taylor’s influence.
Meanwhile, one of the key people at the PR firm TAG PR is linked to Scooter Braun, who has been in the news for buying Taylor Swift’s music catalog for around $300 million.
