On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a special prayer ceremony to honor former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his 100th birthday. Many important leaders were there, including Union ministers like Amit Shah and J P Nadda, and allies like Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They all paid their respects at ‘Sadaiv Atal,’ the memorial dedicated to Vajpayee. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also joined, along with members of Vajpayee’s adoptive family. Modi shared on social media that Vajpayee’s efforts to keep our country’s democracy strong and to lead us toward progress will be remembered forever.
