On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu will give the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 talented children from 14 different states and Union territories. The event, organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, will also celebrate Veer Bal Diwas, a day to recognize young people’s achievements across India.
This year, 17 kids, including 7 boys and 10 girls, will receive this important award. The Bal Puraskar honors outstanding work in seven areas: art and culture, bravery, innovation, science and technology, social service, sports, and the environment. Each winner will get a medal, a certificate, and a booklet that talks about their achievements.
The main event will be held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the Suposhit Panchayat scheme. This new program aims to improve nutrition for people in local communities. Kids from around the country will also join a parade showcasing various cultures.
Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi will start the day with a speech encouraging creativity and growth among young minds. Around 3,500 children will take part in the celebration, which will include fun cultural performances celebrating India’s rich heritage.
Schools, childcare centers, and Anganwadi centers will host lots of activities like storytelling sessions, creative writing contests, poster-making, essay writing, poetry recitals, and quizzes. Online platforms like MyGov and MYBharat will help include more kids in these activities.
Veer Bal Diwas is all about inspiring young Indians to help their country by demonstrating values like courage, creativity, and service. Through awards like the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar and the Suposhit Panchayat, the government shows its dedication to supporting the next generation and encouraging excellence.
