Hailey Welch, the popular internet star, has suddenly disappeared from the spotlight, leaving her millions of fans confused and worried. Her hit podcast, Talk Tuah, last aired an episode on December 3, and since then, she’s been completely silent. Welch, known for her fun catchphrase Hawk Tuah, hasn’t posted anything on social media, making many wonder what happened to her.
Her rise to fame felt like a fairy tale. After her Hawk Tuah video took the internet by storm, she took advantage of her popularity by launching a merchandise line and a podcast that climbed to the top of Spotify charts. It seemed like nothing could stop her success—until now.
On December 4, Welch introduced her own cryptocurrency called $HAWK, a memecoin inspired by her brand. At first, the value of the coin shot up to hundreds of millions, but just minutes later, it crashed, causing many fans to lose their money. People began to wonder if insiders had sold their coins to profit, leaving ordinary investors in trouble.
Welch tried to calm things down by joining a live audio session on X (formerly Twitter) with her crypto partners at OverHere. But her casual attitude didn’t help. She said, “Hey guys! I hate to interrupt, but I’m going to bed. See you tomorrow!” before leaving the chat abruptly. That was her last public statement.
Since then, there has been mixed reactions. Some people think her disappearance could ruin her career, while others jokingly call her “Sleeping Beauty.” One user commented, “Her career ended as quickly as it began.” At the same time, her crypto partners have accused Alex Larson Schultz, also known as Doc Hollywood, of mishandling the $HAWK coin money. Schultz, a music producer and the son-in-law of comedian Howie Mandel, has not yet responded to these claims.
Adding to the chaos, a group of unhappy investors who lost money in the $HAWK crash filed a lawsuit on December 7, saying the creators sold things that were not properly registered as securities.
