On Sunday, Russia announced that its military has taken control of two important villages in eastern Ukraine. These advances bring them closer to the supply center of Pokrovsk and the industrial town of Kurakhove. The Russian defense ministry said in their daily update that they have “liberated” the village of Vesely Gai, located south of Kurakhove, and the village of Pushkine, located south of Pokrovsk, both of which are in the Donetsk region.
