Rajput leader Raj Shekhawat expressed his anger over the movie “Pushpa 2” on Sunday. He accused the film of disrespecting the ‘Kshatriya’ community by showing a character named ‘Shekhawat’ in a bad way. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Shekhawat said, “The role of ‘Shekhawat’ in ‘Pushpa 2’ insults our community. Karni Sainiks, be prepared. The producers will be dealt with soon.”
Fahadh Faasil plays the bad guy, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, in the movie. Shekhawat thinks using the name ‘Shekhawat’ repeatedly is a big insult. He urged the filmmakers to take the word out of the movie. He explained in a video, “The movie has insulted Kshatriya people badly. They keep insulting us in the name of freedom of speech.”
Meanwhile, “Pushpa 2,” starring Allu Arjun, is doing well at the box office, bringing in over ₹294 crore globally on its first day. The film has been a hit, filling cinemas since its release. It even broke records, becoming one of the biggest openings ever in India.
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, “Pushpa 2” stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles from the first film. Allu Arjun won a National Film Award for his acting in the first part, which focused on power struggles and sandalwood smuggling.
