Singer Neha Bhasin recently spoke out on Instagram about her frustration with some male rappers who use disrespectful language towards women in their songs. She pointed out that both men and women in India seem to accept this behavior, which she finds shocking. Neha expressed her feelings, saying, “I’m tired of average male rappers calling women strange names in their songs. Why is everyone okay with this in India? If a guy does it, he gets called cool, but if a girl does it, she’s called loose.”
She didn’t name any specific singers but made it clear that she won’t be controlled by anyone’s opinions, saying, “I am not just a pretty face, and I refuse to be put in a box.” When someone commented that her character was questionable, she confidently replied, “That’s just how frustrated people think.”
Neha Bhasin is popular in the music industry for her hit songs like “Asalaam-e-Ishquum” from the movie Gunday and “Swag Se Swagat” from Tiger Zinda Hai. Aside from her music, Neha also shares her health experiences, including her struggles with a serious condition called Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) that she has had since she was a teenager.
