Eknath Shinde, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has been feeling unwell with a fever and throat infection for two days. According to his family doctor, he is recovering at his hometown in Satara district. A team of doctors is taking care of him.

Shinde has been in the spotlight since the BJP, along with its Mahayuti alliance, won a big victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. This has made people curious about who the next chief minister will be. Earlier this week, Shinde said he would accept whatever decision Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership make. That opens the door for the BJP to name Devendra Fadnavis as the new chief minister, although nothing is official yet.

BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that the oath-taking ceremony for the new government will happen at 5 PM on December 5 in Azad Maidan, Mumbai, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be there.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat said that Eknath Shinde is expected to make an important decision by Sunday. He mentioned that Shinde often goes to his village when he needs to think. By Monday evening, everything about ministry allocations will be clear.

Ajit Pawar, the leader of NCP, stated that the next chief minister will be from the BJP, and there will be two deputy chief ministers from other alliance partners.

In the recent elections, the BJP won 132 out of 288 seats, while the Shiv Sena won 57 and NCP got 41. The elections took place on November 20, and the results were announced on November 23.
