The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is criticizing the Congress party for raising doubts about the fairness of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia suggested that Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, should resign from their positions and promise to run for office only if paper ballots are used again. He believes this action would show that Congress truly trusts their claims. Bhatia stated that if the Congress leaders do not do this, then their complaints are just empty talk.

Bhatia also encouraged Congress to take their concerns to court, pointing out that the Supreme Court has already confirmed that the Election Commission is trustworthy and EVMs are reliable.

It was noted that it is ironic for Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to question the election system on the same day Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, from Congress, was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Vayanad in Kerala. Bhatia said Congress will soon be just a part of history.

In the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP-led coalition won a huge victory with 233 out of 288 seats. The BJP alone took 132 seats, while its partners, the Shiv Sena and NCP, won 57 and 41 seats, respectively. The Congress party made a complaint to the Election Commission, alleging problems in vote counting. However, the Election Commission dismissed these claims and invited Congress representatives to discuss the matter on December 3.
